The Struggle to Return!

Making the journey back to Etown proved to more difficult than one would expect! It started it July when everything was going well. I then got a note in the mail and was denied for the loan needed to be able to pay for my education. After asking numerous people to cosign with no help, my mother and I decided to take it on ourselves, because after all in order to have a successful life you now need to have a college degree. The college is willing to work with us and a payment plan to be able to get the semester paid off. Who ever thought that getting an education, which is needed in this day, so hard and complicated?

Jobs are rare in my hometown of Bristol, PA because so many high school graduates can not afford college and just decide to work. It also doesn't help that the economy is in such poor condition. My only option to improve my life and become be able to succeed was to return to Etown to get the education I have always dreamed of. As my father always said "Where there is a will, there is a way" and now I really understand what he means by this statement. I wanted to return here and am doing everything possible to stay here for the next three years and graduate with a elementary/ special education degree.
